Your Health Risk Profile

Below you can see how your lifestyle scores per domain, based on guidelines from the Health Council, RIVM, and WHO.

Methodology

This profile assesses 7 lifestyle domains based on self-reported data. Each domain is scored as favourable (3 points), moderate (2 points), or unfavourable (1 point). The scores are based on guidelines from: Health Council Physical Activity Guidelines 2017, Health Council Dietary Guidelines 2015, RIVM Public Health Foresight Study (VTV), and WHO Global Health Risk Factors. The profile is an indicative tool and does not replace medical advice or diagnostics.

Medical Disclaimer

This health profile is based on your self-reported lifestyle factors and known risk factors from guidelines by the Health Council, RIVM, and WHO. It is not a medical assessment and does not replace a consultation with your GP. A blood test can provide objective values for many of the discussed risk factors. Always consult a doctor if you have complaints or concerns about your health.

What is a health risk profile?

A health risk profile maps your lifestyle based on scientifically supported risk factors. By assessing 7 domains — from weight and exercise to prevention — you get a clear overview of where your health is strong and where improvement is possible. The scores are based on guidelines from the Health Council, RIVM, and the World Health Organization (WHO).

The 7 lifestyle domains

Each domain is rated as favourable, moderate, or unfavourable based on proven health guidelines:

  • Weight — BMI calculated from height and weight, assessed per WHO classification.
  • Exercise — tested against the Health Council Physical Activity Guidelines of at least 150 min/week.
  • Nutrition — composed of fruit/vegetable intake, processed food, and water intake.
  • Smoking — direct risk factor, assessed on current smoking behaviour and quit history.
  • Alcohol — tested against the advice of maximum 7 glasses per week.
  • Sleep & Recovery — combination of sleep duration and stress level.
  • Prevention — based on blood test frequency and family history.

Why lifestyle matters

According to RIVM, approximately 20% of the disease burden in the Netherlands is attributable to lifestyle factors such as smoking, excessive alcohol use, unhealthy diet, and insufficient exercise. Small improvements in your daily habits can make a significant difference for your long-term health. This profile helps you identify the areas where the greatest health gains can be achieved.

Frequently Asked Questions

How reliable is this health risk profile?

The profile is based on scientifically supported guidelines from the Health Council, RIVM, and WHO. It provides an indicative picture of your lifestyle risks but is not a medical diagnosis. For objective health data, we recommend a blood test.

What data is stored?

No data is stored. All calculations take place in your browser. Your answers do not leave your device.

Why is my BMI rated unfavourable even though I feel healthy?

BMI is a broad screening tool and does not account for muscle mass, bone density, or fat distribution. It is possible that your BMI falls outside the optimal range while you are healthy. A blood test can provide additional objective health data.

What can I do with the recommended blood markers?

The recommended blood markers provide objective values for the domains where your lifestyle poses the most risk. With a blood test, you can see whether your self-reported lifestyle is reflected in your blood values.

How often should I complete this profile?

We recommend reviewing your profile annually or upon significant lifestyle changes. Combine this with an annual blood test for the most complete picture of your health.

Get objective insights with a blood test

Your lifestyle profile provides an indication of your risks. A blood test provides objective values for the discussed biomarkers and helps you improve in a targeted way.
