What if you have chlamydia?
Chlamydia is usually treatable with antibiotics, prescribed by a doctor. It's also important that partners can get tested, so you don't reinfect each other.

An untreated chlamydia infection can, over time, cause pelvic inflammation in women, which may affect fertility. Precisely because symptoms are often absent, an infection sometimes goes unnoticed for a long time.

Can you catch chlamydia again?
Yes. A previous infection doesn't protect you against a new one. If a partner hasn't been treated, you can reinfect each other. That's why testing and treating partners matters.
