A blood values table helps you quickly compare your test results with normal ranges. Here is an overview of reference values for the most commonly measured blood values.
Key reference ranges
Blood count: Haemoglobin: men 8.5-11.0, women 7.5-10.0 mmol/L. Leukocytes: 4.0-10.0 x10^9/L. Platelets: 150-400 x10^9/L.
Liver: ALAT: men below 45, women below 35 U/L.
Lipids: Total cholesterol below 5.0, LDL below 3.0 mmol/L.
Blood sugar: Fasting glucose 3.5-5.5 mmol/L. HbA1c below 42 mmol/mol.
Thyroid: TSH 0.4-4.0 mU/L.
Iron: Ferritin: men 30-300, women 15-150 ug/L.
Vitamins: Vitamin D: 50-125 nmol/L. B12: 150-600 pmol/L.
Important notes
Reference values may vary slightly between laboratories. Age, sex and pregnancy affect some values. A value slightly outside the range is not automatically a problem. Always discuss abnormal values with a healthcare provider.
Comparing your own values
If you already have results, the blood value checker puts your value next to the reference range. If you do not, the extended health checkup measures most of the values in this table.
